"Lady Lions Soccer Signs Five for 2011" (click for link)

Island Keeper Clinics is pleased to announce that Meaghan Storie recently signed with the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff Women's Soccer Team for the upcoming 2012 season. We are all very proud of her accomplishment and hard work through the years to achieve her dream of attending school in the United States on a scholarship. "Meaghan really turned a corner in the past year and half, with her approach to both the physical and mental side of the game. This came at a crucial time in her development, as Meaghan was inspired to make the investment required to improve her level of play, commitment and desire for the game. It is truly a pleasure witnessing this maturity in the development of a young and talented female goalkeeper. More importantly, Meaghan has the qualities to ensure her collegiate experience is worthwhile and rewarding- we all look forward to more success for her in her goalkeeping pursuits." On behalf of all of the IKC coaching staff would like to wish her the best of luck and that she continues to enjoy the success on and off the field that you have worked for through the years.

The Victoria Highlanders FC continue to expand their brand and their commitment to elite level training, coming to an agreement to align their academy system with Shel Brodsgaard's Island Keeper Clinics... more

This is very exciting news about the pending association with Highlanders FC, what an amazing opportunity and way overdue recognition of the quality programs that IKC has, and the incredible coaches and the behind the scenes people within IKC. As a parent looking in, I have been continually impressed and amazed at the level of commitment that every IKC coach has brought to each and every session, as well as giving genuine personal support and guidance to the kids. The IKC gear was a fantastic idea! The uniforms added a whole new level to an already outstanding program. To have IKC involved with the Reynolds Soccer program, the Metro league and now the Highlanders FC is going to create amazing opportunities for aspiring keepers and further establish IKC's reputation. Cheers, Rob

I wanted to thank you sincerly for your camp. It was certainly the best training week of my life, very close to perfection, awesome idea, you are able to create a great training mood. At IKC, I feel like I'm in my place. People I call goalkeeper coaches are rare, people I call good goalkeeper coaches are even more, you are part of them. I hope I'll be invited at IKC as long as I'll be able to train. When I think of the perfect training life, it looks like IKC.
Thank you, Renaud

IKC Keeper Signs With Dundee FC

Longtime IKC goalkeeper trainee Danny Paton-Cavanagh has been offered a soccer apprenticeship with Dundee FC of the Scottish First Division. He will play for their reserves, and train with the first team, starting June 24. Danny says the training he has received over the years with Shel and senior keeper coach Bob Stankov was equal to anything he experienced overseas: “Victoria is becoming known everywhere as a goalkeeping hotspot.  I’m lucky to be part of a fantastic program in my own hometown”.
